The bird of silence
sits on the branch
For whom he sits, doesn't matter
But for why, the wise, the silence tells
No play, no churp, no joyous yells

Perched, he sits, for many hours
What is beyond this branch, he wonders
Enjoying the day, though he can not
Waiting and waiting for something to rot

Action is limitless but limited somehow...
Static is the nature for the wise to tell
He remains, without food or water
Just sitting he does, waiting and waiting.

The sky never seems just right
Never is it quite day or night
For it is a stasis for the bird to be
Watching, waiting for the time to leave.

This is a really cool painting... and, yes, Yoko is amazing. I'm so all about her right now. The music is so odd, simple, and affecting...

cheers,
